About this tool
This crops and resizes a photo to standard dimensions for common passport and ID photo requirements — select the photo type, drag to select the region of your photo to keep (the selection locks to the correct aspect ratio automatically), and download at the exact pixel dimensions required.
Presets cover commonly needed sizes: Indian passport (2×2 inch, 600×600px at 300 DPI), US passport/visa (2×2 inch, 600×600px), and PAN card photo (213×213px, the commonly used size for PAN applications). Requirements can vary by exact issuing authority and change periodically — always check the current official specification (background color, head positioning, recency of photo) for your specific application before submitting, since dimension alone doesn't guarantee acceptance.
This tool handles cropping and sizing only. It doesn't check background color, lighting, head position, or expression against official requirements — those need to be right in the source photo itself, ideally taken specifically for this purpose.

Will this photo definitely be accepted for my passport application?
Correct dimensions are necessary but not sufficient — background color, head positioning, lighting, and photo recency also matter and aren’t checked by this tool. Verify against your issuing authority’s current official specification.
Why is the selection locked to a specific shape?
Each preset locks the crop to the exact aspect ratio required (e.g., square for a 2x2 inch passport photo), so your final crop can’t accidentally come out the wrong proportions.
What DPI is the output?
Presets target the pixel dimensions commonly required at 300 DPI for print-sized photo requirements (e.g., 600×600px for a 2×2 inch photo). Check your specific application’s current requirement, since specifications can be updated.
