A live countdown to a retirement date — set your own date once the page loads.
This countdown calculates the exact time remaining until a date and time you choose, updating every second directly in your browser. There is nothing to install and nothing sent to a server — the calculation is plain JavaScript running on your device.
The presets cover the deadlines people search for most often in India: the trading day’s close and open on the NSE/BSE (3:30 PM and 9:15 AM IST), the end of the current month, and the end of the financial year on March 31st. If none of those fit, use the custom picker to count down to any date and time.
Because the countdown is computed from your device’s clock, keep your system time accurate for it to stay precise. Closing the tab pauses the countdown; reopening this page recalculates it fresh against the same target time.
How the display breaks down: the underlying math is a single millisecond difference (target time minus now) split into four figures using division and remainder — for example, 93,784,000 milliseconds decomposes to 1 day (dividing by the number of milliseconds in a day), 2 hours, 3 minutes, and 4 seconds remaining, once each larger unit is subtracted out via a modulo operation. Since this is recalculated fresh every second directly from the current clock time rather than a value that's incrementally counted down, there's no drift to correct for — the display is always exactly as accurate as your device's clock, not off by an accumulated fraction of a second.
All presets are set in IST (Indian Standard Time). The custom picker uses your device’s local time zone.
