Where these rates come from
Exchange rates are sourced from Frankfurter, a free, open-source API that blends daily reference rates from 84 central banks. Rates update once a day, not continuously — this is a reference rate for general planning purposes, not a live market feed, and won't exactly match the rate you would actually get from a bank, forex service, or card network, which include their own margin or fee on top.
What this does not do
This does not book a real transaction, lock in a rate, or account for any conversion fees a bank or service would charge you. Treat the converted figure as a starting estimate to plan around, not the exact amount you would receive.
